Neurological Rehabilitation

Supporting movement, balance and independence

Neurological Rehabilitation

Neurological conditions can affect movement, balance, coordination, strength and everyday activities in different ways. Rehabilitation can provide structured support to help people work on physical abilities and maintain independence according to their individual circumstances.

At Nova, we provide neurological rehabilitation for people living with conditions such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease. Our approach is centred around the individual, taking into account their abilities, challenges, lifestyle and personal goals. We work collaboratively with patients and, where appropriate, their families or carers to develop a practical rehabilitation programme.

How We Treat Neurological Rehabilitation

We begin with an assessment of movement, balance, strength, coordination and functional abilities. This helps us understand your current needs and identify areas where rehabilitation may be appropriate.

Treatment can include movement practice, balance exercises, strengthening, mobility training and functional activities related to everyday life. Exercises are adapted to your abilities and progressed appropriately as your confidence and physical capacity develop. Where relevant, we can also provide guidance for family members or carers to support safe movement and rehabilitation outside the clinic.
